ASCII Table
Every character from 0 to 255 — control characters, printable ASCII, and the Latin-1 supplement — with decimal, hex, binary, HTML entity, URL encoding, and UTF-8 byte sequence. Click any code for its full reference.
ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) defines codes 0-127. Codes 128-255 are the Latin-1 Supplement — technically not ASCII, but almost every reference groups them together. Modern text is UTF-8, which is backwards-compatible: the first 128 code points are byte-identical to ASCII.
Control characters (0–31)
The C0 control block. Historically instructed teletype hardware; a handful (Tab, LF, CR, ESC) survive in modern software.
