Range

Requests a specific byte range of the resource.

What is Range?

Range enables partial content downloads — video seeking, resumable downloads, chunked upload retries. The server responds with 206 Partial Content and Content-Range.

Typical usage

Set by video players, download managers, and Range-aware HTTP clients.

Examples

First 1024 bytes

Range: bytes=0-1023

Second megabyte

Range: bytes=1048576-2097151
